Night Shift is a short 2018 horror game developed by Puppet Combo. The game is also available in Scary Tales Vol 1, as well as a pack with its sequel, Stay Out of the House. With the full release of Stay Out of the House, the game also received voice acting.

Summary

The player takes control of Debra Kopiske, a gas station cashier, taking the night shift. After she is dropped off by her friend Amber and replaces the previous clerk, the game mostly consists her doing menial tasks assigned to her in a note from her manager, Rick, like sweeping the floor, reorganizing the stock, and manning the register. However, a foreboding atmosphere is set when a mysterious white van laps around the gas station and the cashier meets a suspicious customer who appears to spy on her while shopping. After he leaves, Debra hears a door open in the back and investigates where she is attacked and knocked out by the Night Shift Abductor.

• Dance 2, the music that plays in the car at the start of the game was composed by Nick Bassett.
• The name of the gas station, Ecoo, is based on the real life American gas station chain Ecoo.
  • QuickMart, the name of the attached convenience store, is a generic brand name used in both fiction, one variation being The Simpsons's Kwik-E-Mart and, in real life, such as the Kenyan Quick Mart Limited supermarket chain.
• Youtuber PhuCat103 makes a cameo as Katz, the worker whose shift is being taken over. In the full release, Debra is voiced by Suzi, a.k.a. The Sphere Hunter, while the Stranger is voiced by Corpse Husband in an uncredited role.
• An arcade machine that runs an 8-bit version of Power Drill Massacre Arcade can be played.
• In Stay Out of the House, which takes place 9 days after Night Shift, an old, torn-out newspaper article can be found in a drawer, which names the latest kidnapped victim as one Debra Kopiske of Mill Creek. The credits to Stay Out of the House and Puppet Combo himself would later confirm that Debra is indeed the protagonist of the Night Shift chapter. The full release also adds Debra to the main game, as one of the captives in the cages in the Butcher's backyard.
