Doggy is a supporting character in Larry The Butcher and has a cameo in Blood Maniac.

Larry The Butcher/Texas Butcher[]

Doggy appears in “Larry The Butcher 19-12-15”, Texas Butcher and Blood Maniac. But his most prominent role is Larry The Butcher. His voice consists of a usually deep sounding tone. He is first seen during Chapter 1, at the end of the first level. He says "Good job Larry, but you know your work is never done. More must die.'' He is next seen after Chapter 1 telling Larry that Mother wanted to see him. "Hey Larry, Mother wants to see you. She's in her room."

He is next seen after the conversation with Mother. Telling him about how he can make his wife, which Mother wanted him to do. "So Mother said she wants you to find a woman? Let's not kid ourselves Larry; you're not exactly husband material. Right, you're afraid to settle down? Don't worry Larry; I've got an idea. All you need to do is to collect body parts. Body parts from only the best girls in town. You're gonna need some arms, legs, a torso, ahead, and a brain. And sew it all together, to create the perfect woman. But number one Larry you gotta kill. Kill, kill, kill, kill, and keep on killing. But you can build the perfect woman, get all the parts you need. Now listen up Larry, some kids are having a party on Maple Street this Friday. You know what you need to do."

His last appearance is at the end of Chapter 2, somebody sees Larry (Which is the one case of an instant game over not happening) and Doggy says "Kill that fucking bitch! She's gotta die!" He is not seen or heard from again.

In actual Texas Butcher, his first scene is re-used in one of the levels.

Blood Maniac[]

He appears at the end of the Slumber Party level. His model didn't change much, apart from the neck not having a line across it, the face getting slightly changed eyes and mouth. Along with the coloring getting a slight change. Once again the first scene from Larry The Butcher is re-used.

Role[]

It's not too clear what the dog is meant to represent. It could be that Larry sees him as a person who just tells him to kill. (Which could be used as a way to make you feel like you don't want to kill but are being forced too.) Or it could be the opposite, a way to enforce killing. Larry may also think of him as a father figure, as this is really the "closest" thing to one in the game.

Trivia[]

  • Doggy is a reference to Sam, a real-life dog who the schizophrenic serial killer David Berkowitz (better known as Son of Sam) hallucinated as encouraging him to kill.
